Water and why it’s important.

Water, as we all know is a substance made up of 2 hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. It is essential to all living things, and is used and wasted by humans every day. Water can be used in our lives for many purposes. Below is a diagram showing the number of liters of water we use per day. As you can see, most of the water is wasted by toilet flushing and showers. The best solution is to close the taps when you are not using them, and to harvest more rainwater.

Water is very important to the life of all living things. Although water covers 70% of our earth, there is only 1% fresh water for drinking, and we shouldn’t waste it. Water is important to us in many ways. As u saw on the above chart, water is used around our houses, and even outside in our day-to-day lives. We cannot live without water. It makes up 50-90% of our bodies, and is the most important thing to all humans. Below are some examples of what we use water for.
• Drinking
• Cooking

• Washing clothes

• Washing dishes

• Showering

• Garden use

• Car wash

We should really REDUCE the amount of water we use, REUSE the water we can, and RECYCLE rainwater.
